On February 4, 2009, the Oral School students and staff, along with families, piled into cars very early in the morning and drove to the Round House in Santa Fe, to visit with the Legislators.  The Students wore their snazzy new PEI T-shirts, passed out brochures and shared the PEI story throughout the Round House.  Several of the students were introduced on the floor of the Senate, with Senators Jerry Ortiz y Pino (Albuquerque), Tim Jennings (Roswell), and Nancy Rodriquez (Santa Fe) giving recognition  to the students and the oral option.
